What are EC’s arrangements for Bihar Assembly Elections amid Covid-19?

The Election Commission of India announced that seventy-two million people will vote in three phases over 11 days between October 28 and November 7 to choose a new government in Bihar
While preparing for Bihar Assembly Elections amid COVID-19 pandemic, the Election Commission has arranged for 7.2 crore single-use hand gloves for voters to cast their votes and increased the polling time by one hour.
It also arranged for 7 lakh hand sanitiser units, 46 lakh masks, 6 lakh PPE kits, 6.7 lakh face-shields, 23 lakh hand gloves for the staff.
All polling stations will be located on the ground floor to help people with disabilities
Covid-19 patients who’re quarantined will be able to cast their vote on the last day of poll, at their respective polling stations, under the supervision of health authorities.
All physical contact has been restricted in campaigning; only virtual campaigning to be held.
Number of persons accompanying candidate for submission of nomination has been restricted to two. Number of vehicles also restricted to two.
