Babri Masjid demolition verdict: Mangaluru Police beef up security

Mangaluru: As the special Central Bureau of Investigation court in Lucknow is expected to pronounce its judgment in the nearly three-decades-old criminal case related to the Babri Masjid demolition soon on Wednesday, security has been tightened around the city.
The district police department has deployed of 6 Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) platoons and 8 City Armed Reserve (CAR) battalions in Bengaluru, besides civil and traffic police of all the police stations.
The Supreme Court had given the CBI court a one-month extension, instructing it to wind up the case by September 30. The earlier deadline for judgment had expired on August 31.
