Belagavi: As many as six people were killed and ten people were injured after Tata Ace and Bolero vehicle collided with each other near Savadatti-Dharwad Municipal Garbage disposal yard on late Friday, October 2 night.
The deceased have been identified as Yallavva Murakibhavi (65), Taravva Hari (35), Rukmavva Vadakannavara (35), Hanamavva Mayappa Bommannavara (58) and Yallavva Honnappa Bommanahalli (56).
The accident took place after Tata ace collied with Bolero coming from the opposite direction. While ten people were injured, six people died on the spot.
The victims were admitted to a government hospital and are undergoing treatment there.
A case has been registered at Savadatti Station with this regard.
