By-polls in 10 States on Nov 3: EC

By-elections to 54 Assembly seats in 10 States, including Telangana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, UP and Nagaland will be held on November 3, the Election Commission announced on Tuesday.

The Commission also announced that by-polls for the Valmiki Nagar Parliamentary Constituency in Bihar and two Assembly constituencies in Manipur will take place on November 7.

Sandalwood drugs case: Hyd lab returns ‘incorrect’ samples sent for hair follicle test

The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) at Hyderabad returned the hair follicle samples of three accused in the drugs case for being improperly collected and packed. Two of the samples are those from actresses Sanjjana Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi.

Bollywood drugs case: Executive producer Kshitij Prasad sent to judicial custody till Oct 6

Kshitij Prasad, a former employee of Dharmatic Entertainment, who was arrested in connection with the probe into the drugs angle into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, was sent to judicial custody till October 6 by a special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) court on Saturday.
