Madikeri: No entry into pond, COVID-19 negative certificate compulsory at Talakaveri

Madikeri: Kodagu district in-charge minister V Somanna has informed that Kaveri Theerthodbhava ceremony will be held at 7:03 am on October 17.
The minister held a meeting for the Kaveri Tulasankramana he instructed the authorities to make necessary arrangements in Talakaveri for the event.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, he said that the rituals of the event will be performed as per traditions. However, in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, devotees arriving from outside the district and State will have to produce a COVID-19 negative certificate and no entry will be allowed into the pond. Instead, the holy water will be sprinkled on the devotees gathered there.
He added that the COVID-19 negative certificate rule will not apply to the residents of Kodagu district.
