Special trains between Mangaluru-Bengaluru cancelled, rescheduled

Mangaluru: In an announcement, the South Western Railway informed that the Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central-Bangalore special express (06515/16) running four days a week via Kunigal will be temporarily cancelled.

The decision was taken due to a severe shortage of passengers, the announcement added.

The train will be cancelled from October 7 on the up Bengaluru-Mangaluru route and from October 11 on the down Mangaluru-Bengaluru route, the announcement further read.

The Bengaluru-Mangaluru Central-Bangalore special express (06517/18) via Mysuru and the Bengaluru-Mangaluru-Karawar-Bengaluru trains running three days a week will be operating as usual, the announcement said.

However, the schedule of these two trains has been changed.

The up Bengaluru-Mangaluru (06517) train which ran on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays will now be running on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from October 7.

The down journey of the same train (06518) which ran on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will now be running on Thursdays, Saturdays and Mondays from October 8.
