Chikkamagaluru: After Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa made it clear there is no rush to start schools and colleges, BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje said that 2020 should be declared as a year without exams.
Addressing presspersons here Shobha said, “As there is no objection to continue online classes, schools shouldn’t be reopened. Many teachers throughout the country, including Karnataka, have died due to COVID-19 and in such circumstances, it’s risky to open schools.”
“PM Modi had said that let us save lives first and then live life, therefor 2020 is a year of saving lives and it should be declared as a year without exams,” she added.
