Sampath murder case: Five arrested

Sullia: The city police arrested five people on Sunday, October 11 in connection with the murder of Sampath Kumar.
Four out of the five accused are residents of Kallugundi Sampaje and the other accused is a resident of Jalsur. The names of the accused have not been divulged.
Reportedly the arrest was made from Subramanya-Bisleghat road, near Munglipade on October 11, while they were traveling by Swift car with the registration number KA-12-M-A4385.
Sampath, a resident of Shanthinagar was killed by a group of men on October 8 at around 7 am. The deceased was a prime accused in the Balachandra murder case in Madikeri. He was out on bail and was residing in a rented house in Shantinagar.
It is said that Sampath was attacked to avenge Balachandra’s murder.
A case was registered under sections 448, 324,302 and 34 of IPC.
