K’taka by-polls: JD(S) selects V Krishnamurthy for RR Nagar

Bengaluru: The Janata Dal (Secular) has selected V Krishnamurthy as its candidate for the Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency by-elections.

Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy informed about the decision. He said that Krishnamurthy will contest the RR Nagar by-election on the JD(S) ticket. His father was a loyal activist of the JD(S). Krishnamurthy is a self-made man.

The Congress has already given the ticket to Kusuma Hanumantharayappa. While the BJP has shortlisted Muniratna or Tulsi Muniraju Gowda.

The by-elections for Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Sira assembly constituencies will be held on November 3. The counting of votes will be on November 10.
