Former chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank Jaya C Suvarna passes away at 74

Udupi/Mumbai: Former president of Billawara Association Mumbai and former chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited Jaya C Suvarna passed away on Wednesday, October 21 at his Nilgiri Residence East of Goregaon. He was 74.
He is survived by wife Leelavathi Jaya Suvarna and four sons. The funeral of the deceased will be held at the Goregaon East in the evening on Wednesday, family sources informed.
Karnataka Rajyotsava Awardee Jaya C Suvarna was born on May 15, 1946, near Padubidri in Udupi district to Chandu Poojary and Achu Poojarti. He was educated at Adwe and completed his graduation Chinnai College in Andheri, Mumbai in 1974.
Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary, Billawara Association Mumbai president Chandrashekhar S Poojary, former presidents L V Avin, Nithyananda D Kotyan, Rashtriya Billava Maha Mandal Mulki president Dr Rajashekar R Kotyan and all the officials and members of the Billavara Association’s central and local committees, Uppur Shivaji Poojary (U S Poojary) chairman of Bharat Bank, advocate Rohini J Salan, vice chairperson, former chairmen of BCB Vasudeva R Kotyan and M B Cookian, and board of directors, superiors, employees, officers, BCCI chairman N T Poojary and hundreds of NGOs across the country have expressed their deepest condolences.
