Hubballi: BJP national general secretary C T Ravi referring to statements made by party leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal said that the party’s central leadership will take disciplinary action at the right time against those who make controversial remarks against Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

Ravi while addressing the election campaign said, “Yediyurappa is our leader and the party has chosen him. Whatever may be Yatnal’s reason to speak against the chief minister, I will not comment on it. Party’s central leadership will take disciplinary action at the right time against those who make controversial remarks against Chief Minister”

He further added, “Our CM is doing a great job. Soon after the BJP came to power in the state, it successfully managed the flood situation last year and Covid pandemic this year.”

“Because of the pandemic, the financial condition of the government has not returned to normal and there are no funds to allocate to MLAs for development of their constituencies. Legislators should use the available funds judiciously,” he said.

Indicating a rebellion, senior BJP legislator Basanagouda Patil Yatnal had said that BS Yediyurappa will not remain Chief Minister for long and the high command has decided that his successor will be from the north Karnataka region.

The former Union Minister even accused the Chief Minister of taking all the development work to his home district of Shivamogga, while taking back the funds allocated to MLAs of other constituencies.

“…Rs 125 crore that had come (for constituency), but our own Chief Minister took it back, after that a fight has started between me and him. He is taking things to Shivamogga… he will not be there (as CM) for long, his (time) has come,” Yatnal said.
