Bantwal: The city police arrested two persons in connection with the murder of Tulu cine actor, rowdy-sheeter Surendra Bantwal, who was found dead in his flat at BC Road on the night of October 20.
The arrested are identified as Sathish Kulal, a resident of Bantwal, and Girish alias Giri, a resident of Kinnigoli and a close aide of Surendra.
Reportedly the arrest was made on Saturday, October 24 night while both the accused were proceeding to Bantwal from Kasargod in a hired vehicle.
After learning about their whereabouts, a team led by Bantwal DySP Valentine D’Souza waylaid the car and arrested the accused.
It may be recalled that the main accused in the case, Sathish Kulal himself had made audio and sent to the police in which he had taken the responsibility for the murder.
In the audio Sathish Kulal said that Surendra Bantwal was killed in revenge for the murder of Kishan Hegde, who was murdered at Hiriadka near Udupi recently.
