Accused should be publicly hanged: Ramdev on Nikita Tomar’s killing

Referring to the killing of 21-year-old Nikita Tomar in Haryana’s Ballabgarh, Baba Ramdev on Thursday said, “Public hanging of the accused alone can prevent reiteration of such crimes.”

The killings in the name of “love jihad” in different parts of the country are “shameful and a blot on the name of India”, he said.

A final year commerce student, Nikita was killed on Monday afternoon right outside her college in Faridabad’s Ballabhgarh where she had gone for an examination.

CCTV footage from a camera outside the college showed Tauseef and his friend Rehan trying to force her into their car, and when she resisted, the former shot her from point-blank range.
