Bengaluru: 25-year-old painter electrocuted to death

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man was electrocuted to death while carrying out welding and painting works on Monday at an under-construction building in Valkimi Nagar, Andrahalli.

The deceased has been identified as Vishnukumar (25), hailing from Bihar.

The incident took place when he was fixing the railings while a part of the same came in contact with the main power line leading to electrocution, informed police sources.

Meanwhile, another worker – Rajan (22) – has sustained minor injuries and is in treatment now at Victoria Hospital, the police added.

A case under section 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Byadarahalli police station and an investigation is underway.
