Why Burger King is asking customers to order from McDonald’s?

Famous fast-food chain Burger King is requesting people to take an extra step and order from its competitors such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Five Guys, Dominos and more
The company’s UK arm tweeted a statement Monday asking consumers to support their local fast food outlets during the coronavirus pandemic, whether they are Burger King or not.
Captioning the post, “We know, we never thought we’d be saying this either”, the food chain at the end added, “getting a whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not such a bad thing.”

According to CNN, The hospitality industry in UK has been hit hard by the pandemic, and new restrictions from November 5 are expected to make things worse. During the first lockdown in March, restaurants were closed for dine-in and were allowed to reopen only in July.
Burger King said several of these restaurants are facing monetary issues due to the coronavirus pandemic which forced all restaurants and other businesses to shut down for nearly three months
Since being shared online, the message has been reshared over 40,000 times on Facebook and had over 1.1 lakh likes on Twitter.
