Udupi: A case has been registered against an unknown person who created a fake email address in the name of Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and sent an email to the Registrar of Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dr Narayana Sabhahit.
The unknown person created the fake ID ‘[email protected]’ and through it sent an email stating that several complaints have been received from parents of students MAHE, who are residing around the world. Adding that it is not good to start classes in the current context. Classes can be started from the second week of January 2021 for which a consent letter from the parents of the students must be obtained.
The case registered against the unknown sender of the email is on the basis of stealing data to create an email address similar to that of the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
