Chikmagalur: CM BSY escort vehicle’s tyre explodes; 2 injured

Chikmagalur: Two police personnel were injured when the tyre of an SUV in Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s escort exploded and over-turned the vehicle.
The incident took place near Jenugadde in the taluk when the Chief Minister was returning to Bengaluru from Mangaluru after the conclusion of the BJP’s executive meeting there.
It was reported that the brake’s of the vehicle jammed causing the tyre to explode and overturn the vehicle.
The vehicle’s driver, Sharat, has been admitted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred within the limits of Balehannur police station.
