Boy stages his abduction, demands Rs 5 lakh ransom

Kankapura: A boy from the district staged his own abduction and demanded Rs 5 lakh as ransom from the father if he wanted his son to return to the house safely.
The boy in question, left home on Friday evening saying that he will be going to a nearby internet cafe, however, the boy did not return home till Saturday, the terrified father of the boy immediately informed the police about his missing son and asked them to help find his son.
After filing the missing complaint the parents of the boy received an alarming photo of their son that said that he had been abducted. The alleged abductor then demanded Rs 5 lakh as ransom from the father of the boy if he wanted the boy to return to the house safely.
The police tracked the phone of the kidnapper and rushed to the spot and rescued the kidnapped boy from the lodge in Tirupathi.
On interrogating him, the boy admitted that he staged the whole kidnapping incident to get some money from his father. The boy then revealed that he used a timer camera to click his picture and sent it to his parents.
