Platform tickets at railway stations to remain at Rs 50 till Nov 30: SWR

Bengaluru: South Western Railway (SWR) announced on Tuesday, November 10 informed that platform tickets at railway stations in Bengaluru and surroundings will remain at an enhanced cost of Rs 50 till November 30.

As per the SWR statement, officials will continue to collect Rs 50 for each platform ticket at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Tumakuru, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Kengeri, Mandya, Hindupur, Penukonda, Yelahanka, Banasaadi, Carmelaram and Whitefield railway stations till the end of this month.

“With a view to restrict entry of non-travellers at railway stations due to the extraordinary circumstances created by Covid-19 pandemic, charges of platform tickets were enhanced from Rs 10 to Rs 50 at these stations from October 21 to November 10 as announced before,” the statement mentioned.
