Mangaluru: Due to road, drainage and water pipeline works being undertaken at Hampankatte junction, traffic jams had increased in many parts of the city.
However, since Tuesday, November 11, with a few changes in traffic restrictions, traffic flow had started to ease.
On Tuesday, two-way traffic on KS Rao Road and on Sharada School Road was started. Arrangements were made for vehicular traffic to move from State Bank to Jyoti via KS Rao Road-Old bus stand-Light House Hill road through Bavutagudde.
Since Monday night, city’s old bus stand was converted as the connecting road to Light House Hill Road from KS Rao Road.
Traffic was also allowed on the PVS-Navbharat Circle (Govind Pai Circle) road going to KS Rao Road and from there to the right GHS Road and to the left Bavutagudde. This has reduced the traffic jamming on the PVS-Bunts Hostel Road.
