Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi passed away at the age of 86 after his health condition deteriorated while undergoing treatment at Gauhati Medical College Hospital for post-COVID complications.
The leader was earlier put on ventilator after he suffered multi-organ failure, doctors said. He had tested positive for coronavirus in August.
