Kannada Sahitya Sammelana to be held in Haveri from Feb 26 to 28

Bengaluru: Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, this time will be held in Haveri district for three days from February 26-28, 2021, amid of Covid19 pandemic.

Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) has decided to go ahead with the annual literary meet after the executive committee met on Tuesday.

KSP decided to organise the 86th Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Haveri for three days from February 26-28, 2021.The committee is yet to decide on who would preside over the function.

Kannada Sahitya Sammelana is the premier gathering of writers, poets and kannadigas, held every year with the aim of preserving and developing Kannada language and its literature, arts, culture and music.

It was started in 1915 by H. V. Nanjundaiah who was founder of Mysore university and acting Diwan of Mysore. The first Sammelana was held at Bengaluru.
