Cyclone Nivar: SWR cancels Bengaluru-Chennai trains

Bengaluru: In the wake of Cyclone Nivar the South Western Railway Wednesday announced cancellation of trains operating between KSR Bengaluru (SBC) and MGR Chennai Central (MAS) railway stations.

The services that have been cancelled include Train no. 02658 from SBC to MAS scheduled for Wednesday and Train no. 02657 from MAS to SBC scheduled for Thursday.

The India Meteorological Department has sounded a yellow alert in Bengaluru Urban and Rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Mandya, and Ramanagara districts of Karnataka on November 26.

South Interior Karnataka is very likely to experience isolated rainfall on 25, 28 and 29 Nov and light to moderate scattered rainfall on Nov 26 and 27. North Interior Karnataka is very likely to experience dry weather on 25 and 29 Nov, isolated rainfall on 26 and 28 Nov, IMD said.

Coastal Karnataka to experience light to moderate scattered rainfall on 27 November.
