Actress Umashree car accident: Physician succumbs to injury, death toll rises to 3

Hubballi: Dr Smitha, Medical Officer of Belehara village in Navalagunda taluk, who was travelling in Umashree’s Innova car that met with an accident on November 21, has died on the morning of Saturday, November 28.

With her death, the number of casualties due to the accident had risen to 3.

Umashree’s Innova, travelling from Gadag to Hubballi, hit a Baleno. Dr Smitha’s mother Shobha and their driver Sandeep died on the spot.

Severely injured and unconscious Dr Smitha was rushed to a private hospital where she did not respond to the treatment and died today.

Umashree had visited the hospital the next day after the accident and inquired about Dr Smitha condition.
