KSEEB ordered to schedule SSLC exams amidst uncertainty over school reopening

Bengaluru: The Department of Primary and Secondary Education has ordered the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) to prepare the time table for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations.

This move came as a surprise even to KSEB officials as there is still no decision made on the reopening of schools and, more importantly, on the quantum of the syllabus to be reduced because of the days lost in the academic calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was reported that a meeting regarding the schedule preparation will be convened by the primary and secondary education minister in a few days.

The examinations schedule will likely be announced by the end of December.
