IMA scam: Former Congress minister Roshan Baig secures bail

Bengaluru: A special CBI court has granted bail to former Congress minister R Roshan Baig in connection with the multi-crore I-Monetary Advisory (IMA) ponzi scam.

Baig through his counsel moved the court for the bail citing health issues.

While granting conditional bail, the court directed Baig not to leave Bengaluru without prior permission from court and also to report before CBI officials on the second and fourth Monday of every month.

The order also asks him to surrender his passport, inform the court if he changes address.

Baig has been asked by the court to cooperate with the investigation and not to threaten witnesses.  and to and not to threaten witnesses, they said.

Baig was arrested by the CBI on Sunday, November 22.
