Chikkamagaluru: A complaint has been filed at a police station here against the vehicles that were escorting the ambulance from Puttur to Bengaluru in a zero-traffic corridor on Wednesday, December 2.
A 22-year-old patient suffering from pulmonary disease was shifted in an ambulance from Puttur to the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre at Bengaluru for treatment.
About 15 escorting vehicles were seen driving rashly on that day in the zero-traffic corridor. The video of the vehicles had gone viral and was criticized on social media.
In Hassan district, a by-stander had a lucky escape when a rashly-driven SUV escorting the ambulance came close to him.
Police sources stated that as there were no complaints against the escorting vehicles no action was taken till now.
