Mangaluru: No effect of the strike organised by the State transport workers was seen in the Dakshina Kannada district.
Transport employees were on duty and buses were operating as usual from the depot here to different parts of the State on Friday morning.
KSRTC bus stations at Udupi, Puttur and Kundapura are also seeing usual bus operations.
The workers of State transport corporations had declared a State-wide strike today (December 11) as a protest against the government’s indecision in declaring them as government employees.
Many parts of the State is being affected by the strike and passengers, not knowing about the strike, were seen frustrated by it and had heated arguments with transport workers and authorities.
