Vitla: Car falls off hill, lands in frontyard

Vitla: An incident where the driver of a Maruti Omni lost control of the car, skidded off a hill and landed on the front yard of a house occurred at the Vitla-Mangaluru road near Veerakamba on Tuesday, December 15.
Women and children in the car were injured and were admitted to a local hospital.
The occupants of the car, which was completely damaged after the fall, were returning from their relative’s house at Okketuru near Vitla.
Locals said that a few years ago too a car had fallen off at the same part of the road and the lack of a barrier makes it susceptible to more such accidents.
