Former Bajrang Dal leader arrested for aiding cattle theft

Karkala: Based on the revelations made by a man, arrested for beef smuggling, the Karkala police arrested a former Bajrang Dal leader for allegedly aiding cattle theft.
The arrested has been identified as Anil Prabhu, 45, a resident of Tellaru.
Anil is a former convenor of the Bajrang Dal unit in Karkala.
Recently the police had arrested Mohammad Yasin, a resident of Hudco colony in a beef smuggling case. During the interrogations, Yasin revealed that Prabhu took money to ensure there were no concerns from the police when the stolen cattle and beef were being transported.
Following Yasin’s statement, Karkala police arrested Anil and produced him before the court.
