Bengaluru: Criminal Investigation Department DySP V Laxmi’s suicide has given rise to many questions, however, it was reported that presently depression has been suspected as the main motive behind her suicide.

Lakshmi was reportedly not happy with her husband working in Hyderabad and hence their married life was not going good from the past 2 years.

She had also complained to her friends that after her KSPS training she was not appointed to an executive position as per rules. Three of her friends were appointed as Assistant Commissioners in the city commissioner’s office.

Laxmi had appealed to senior officials about it but she got the reply that it was presently not possible.

It was also reported that Lakshmi, who was mentally ill due to all these issues, had attempted suicide twice before.

Lakshmi’s father retired KAS officer Venkatesh said his daughter was well and his son-in-law had returned to Hyderabad two days ago.

How can she be depressed? She has money, power and home. It is a lie that she hanged herself to the window. She is taller than the height of the windows. I suspect Manu and Prajwal’s hand in her death, I have already registered a complaint regarding this, Venkatesh said.
