Theft at Mennabettu Marigudi temple, 3 donation box stolen

Mangaluru: Thieves who gained entry into Marigudi temple within the limits of Mennabettu gram panchayat during the late-night hours on Friday, December 18, decamped with three donation boxes and an Idol.
The incident came to light on Saturday, December 19 morning.
The thieves broke open the bolt of the main door of the temple and took away the donation boxes and an idol. However, the gold ornaments of the diety were safe as it was kept on the temple premises.
Mulky police arrived at the spot and an investigation is underway.
