Chikkamagaluru: A sandalwood in the district here has gone missing after leaving a suicide note and a video.
The sandalwood grower Vishukumar from Tarikere town has blamed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for his troubles in the suicide note.
He has addressed his family members in the video and stated that he has cheated them.
Many sandalwood trees were felled by the NHAI for expanding and building new highways. The Authority had not provided the stipulated compensation to the 22 affected growers even after the High Court’s directions.
Recently the affected growers had protested in front of the Authority’s office in Tumakuru.
