Mangaluru: Kerala’s Kasargod district Coastal Security Police (CSP) has registered a complaint against 12 fishermen from here for abducting two of their constables.
A patrolling boat of the Kasargod CSP intercepted the fishing boat with the 12 fishermen and asked for their papers. When they did not furnish any documents, the CSP police seized the boat and left two constables to make the boat follow the patrolling boat.
However, a while later the patrolling boat noticed that the fishing boat was steering towards Mangaluru.
Immediately the Kasargod CSP called Dakshina Kannada CSP who rescued the constables from the fishing boat.
A team of police officers from Kerala will soon be arriving here to arrest the fishermen on the charges of obstructing a public servant from discharge of his duty and abduction.
