New Delhi: NCP chief Sharad Pawar cleared speculations that he may become the next UPA chairperson.

Speaking to News18, he said, “I don’t have time or inclination to be UPA chairperson.  There is no question of any such proposal”

Notably, NCP Chief Spokesperson Mahesh Tapase had earlier said that reports about Pawar joining UPA is meant to “divert attention from ongoing farmers’ agitation”.

Recently, Congress’ ally in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena, in its mouthpiece, Saamna, praised Sharad Pawar for his personality and said “Sharad Pawar should become the next chairperson of United Progressive Alliance”.
