Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty, who spent almost one month in Mumbai’s Byculla jail will make Bollywood comeback in 2021,says director Rumi Jaffery.
In a recent interview, Jaffery said that it has been a traumatic year for Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested by NCB in a drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
Jaffery said, ” She will get back to work early next year. I met Rhea recently. She was quiet and withdrawn and I can’t blame her after what she has gone through. Once the dust settles I am sure Rhea has a lot to say”
“Can you imagine any girl from well-to-do middle-class family spending a month in jail? It has crushed her morale completely,” he added. Rumi further said she’ll resume work from next year.
Rhea Chakraborty’s boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. Sushant’s family filed a complaint against her and others for abetment to suicide. She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged consumption and possession of drugs. Rhea was granted bail on Oct 7
