Scolded by mother, teen locks self in bathroom; fire personnel called for rescue

Udupi: Fire service personnel on Saturday, January 2 rushed to rescue a teen boy who reportedly locked himself in the bathroom for hours together after being scolded by his mother for playing mobile games.
As per reports, the 12-year-old locked himself in the bathroom after his mother snatched the mobile phone from him as he was playing games on it the whole night on Friday. In a fit of rage, the boy locked himself in the bathroom and did not open the door for hours together.
His mother grew anxious and sought help from the fire service personnel, who later managed to break into the bathroom of the flat situated on the fourth floor of A1 apartments of MIT Manipal near here.
The boy was found in a semi-conscious state.
