Miscreants attack Surathkal toll gate staff for asking toll

Surathkal: An incident where a toll gate staff was attacked by 7-8 people in a car after asking for toll was reported from here on the night of Sunday, January 3.

The toll gate staff’s arm was fractured and he was hospitalized.

A white Maruti Swift with KA 47 registration number came at the toll gate and 7-8 people from it came out of the car and started attacking the staff who asked toll from them.

The attackers also entered the toll collection centre and ransacked it.

One of the toll gate staff called the police but the attackers escaped in their car before the police arrived.

The entire incident was captured by the CCTVs cameras at the toll gate.

A complaint has been lodged at the Surathkal Police Station regarding the incident.
