Fear grips Purusharakatte residents after spotting leopard, cages set up to catch big cat

Narimogaru: A leopard was seen at Pusharakatte in Puttur and the Forest Department has installed a cage to catch the leopard.
The leopard was seen passing by a localite Chandappa Poojary’s place.
The police department and the forest department officials stayed there intact waiting for the animal.
There have been various instances of leopards appearing at various places such as Sarve, Mundoor, Bannoor, Padil, Kondibaadi; Paltaadi, Chennavara, Bimbila villages of Kadaba taluk. The Forest Department on January 5 have laid traps in Mukwe Mogeredka village in Narimogaru Gram panchayat.
The cages have also been laid at the deserted areas of the village.
