Thousands of Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, interrupting a joint session of Congress to certify Joe Biden’s election win, thereby forcing an emergency evacuation at both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Four people were killed and many injured in the chaos that followed inside the US Capitol, incited by the remarks of the sitting president.
During the protest, protestors were spotted waving a tricolor along with the US flags. The use of the Indian flag enraged many Indians on social media.
Why do I see our Indian flag too in this crowd supporting vandalism? Who is this person holding Indian flag! As an Indian I feel embarrassed on seeing this. We are not a part of this please https://t.co/oyT4UgTVNw

Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena spokesperson wrote,” Whoever is waving this Indian flag should feel ashamed. Don’t use our tricolour to participate in such violent and criminal acts in another country.”
