K’taka: BMCRI, KIMS chosen for vaccine launch event

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Covid-19 vaccination during a live webcast on January 16. The vaccination drive will begin at 5,000 sites simultaneously in the country.

The Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) and Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubballi (KIMS) are few among the facilities in India where Prime Minister will launch Covid-19 vaccination on January 16.

K Sudhakar, Health Minister informed that there are around 235 sites in Karnataka, which will receive 13.9lakh vaccine doses. He further claimed to have more than 29,000 storage units to keep the vaccines safe.

Narendra Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of every state in a video conference on January 11.
