Bitcoins worth Rs 9 cr seized from hacker arrested in drugs case

Bengaluru: Bitcoins worth Rs 9 crore have been seized from a 25-year-old hacker who was arrested last year for breaking into government websites
It is said that hacker identified as Shri Krishna along with five friends, hacked into three bitcoin exchanges and ten poker websites by pushing three types of malware into them. They also hacked 10 poker portals, four other websites and Yearn (YFI) and Ethereum accounts.
CCB officials claim that they were using these bitcoins to lead lavish lives, adding that they had stayed in star hotels and resorts. Officials are carrying further investigations to recover other valuables and properties allegedly stolen by him.
