Davanagere: Deputy chief minister Laxman Savadi said that, even if thousands of chief ministers come to Maharashtra, Belgaum and Nippani will remain in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters in the city, Savadi opposed Uddhav Thackeray’s statement that Belgaum-Nippani should join Maharashtra.
Savadi asserted that Thackeray’s statement is politically motivated and called it a stupid statement.
He also mentioned that Belgaum is the second capital of Karnataka.
As a response to Renukacharya’s statement that the elders should sacrifice the ministerial position, DCM called it a personal opinion, and as Renukacharya has got no ministerial position he must ask through the party and that the opinions must come from the President.
