Haveri: MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal said that he did not say anything new on BSY CD issue and only repeated what KPCC president DK Shivakumar had said earlier.

Speaking to reporters in Haveri, he said that anything can happen in the State anytime and until BS Yediyurappa is the chief minister I will not be made a minister.

“I have never demanded a ministerial position. Even if I am given a ministerial position I would not accept it. I have only recomended that those districts that have never had a minister should be given an opportunity,” he added.

“Presently there is Modi wave so ‘migrant lawmakers’ are saying Jai Modiji . If tomorrow there’s a Sonia wave then they will shout Jai Soniaji and later will even call Deve Gowda as father,” Yatnal jokingly criticised.

“Responding to Siddaramaiah’s assertion that Yediyurappa would be removed from the chief minister’s post after April, he said that it seems Yediyurappa and Siddaramaiah are were very close. So he knows when Yediyurappa will step down from the CM’s position. Yediyurappa, George and Zameer Ahmed Khan all are very close to each other,” he said.

He further claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that for the next two and a half years the BJP government in the State will remain but did not say that Yediyurappa will remain the chief minister for the same period.
