Tumkur: Thieves steal ATM machine

Tumkur: An ATM machine of the Indian Overseas Bank at Heggere within rural police station limits here was stolen on Monday.

The incident reportedly occurred at midnight. The thieves arrived in a four-wheeler and stole the ATM machine with cash.

There is a gym near the ATM. In the morning when gym members arrived at the gym they noticed the missing ATM machine.

After learning about the incident, police officials from the rural police station arrived at the spot and reviewed the CCTV footages from within the ATM centre.

The footage showed the thieves arriving in a four-wheeler and stealing the cash-loaded ATM machine. However, the police officials reported that the footages are not clear.

Bank officials too rushed to the spot and informed the police that the ATM machine had Rs 83,000 in cash.

A case has been registered in the rural police station.
