Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa reshuffled his Cabinet on Friday, January 22 a day after assigning ministerial berths to new Cabinet inductees.
K Gopalaiah has been assigned the Excise Department, MTB Nagaraj with Sugarcane Development and Directorate of Sugar from Industries and Commerce Department, R Shankar with Sericulture and Horticulture and Dr KC Narayana Gowda with Youth Empowerment & Sports, and additionally with Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics.
Yediyurappa had on Thursday allocated departments to the new ministers. Some minister’s positions too had been changed.
It is reported that MTB Nagaraj had requested for the Housing department.
K Gopalayya, who was assigned Horticulture and Sugarcane development only yesterday and was given the Excise department.
R Shankar, who was given the Municipal Administration and Sericulture was reassigned to Horticulture and Sericulture.
KC Narayana who was given the Youth Empowerment & Sports was made the additional charge of Planning, Program Monitoring and Statistics.
