Bengaluru: A special committed formed to investigate the ruckus that occurred in the State’s Legislative Council during the special session held on December 15, has submitted its interim report to the chairman of the Council.
Speaking to reporters later, committee chairman Maritibbe Gowda said five meetings have been held in connection with the incident. Council Secretary PR Ramesh will be giving notice to the marshals to get their opinion.
The death note of Dharmega Gowda, who was deputy chairman of the council, was also decided. What other States have done during such incidents would be also reviewed, he added.
The special committee wants to get the letters written to the Council chairman by members and statements given to news organisations on the incident. For all this the committee requires time and it is not reasonable to finish all of it in twenty days. Hence, an 84-page interim report has been submitted now, he said.
