Kalaburagi: We have heard about building temples for Gods and deities but these sons built a temple in memory of their parents. The temple, built at Niragudi village in Aland taluk at Kalaburagi district, was inaugurated on January 25.
Children of farmer Vishwanath Padre who died three ago and Laxmibai Patre who died six months ago built the temple.
Gram panchayat member Jagannath (45), Panchayat Development Officer Dasharath (42) and first Division Assistant Dhananjay (38) built the temple to honour their parents’ life. They even installed their parents’ bust so they could worship it.
After the death of their parents, they decided to construct a temple for their parents.
It is estimated that the sons spent around Rs 2 lakh on the construction of temple.
The residents of the village gathered at the inauguration, recalling how the couple educated their children to be better citizens.
Jagannath being the eldest of all informed that he stayed back and took care of his parents while his siblings went to study more and bag government jobs.
