Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and Congress party leader Siddaramaiah on Wednesday, January 27 said that Prime Minister Modi may have a 56-inch chest but has no heart for farmers.

Taking to Twitter Siddaramaiah wrote, “Farmers are protesting in Delhi since last two months. Many farmers have sacrificed their lives. None of these incidents changed Narendra Modi’s decision. He may have a 56-inch chest but has no heart for farmers.”

“Reports suggest that the person who hoisted the flag at Red fort is BJP’s party worker. But, the farmers are being branded as terrorists and BJP leaders should be ashamed of this. Had Home Ministers of India knew that terrorists were also present, why did they not arrest terrorists?” he questioned.

He further added, “11 rounds of discussion would not have been needed if the government had a genuine concern for farmers. Farmers are claiming that they will incur losses due to new farm laws. The govt should have repealed it when farmers themselves are against the farm laws.”
