Belagavi: 4 from family commit suicide due to harassment from loan sharks

Belagavi: A couple and their two children committed suicide on Wednesday night by coming under a train after being reportedly being harassed by loan sharks.

The incident occured at Biradi village, Rayabhag taluk in the district here.

The suiicide victims have been identified as Annappa Sutar (60) his wife Mahadevi Sutar (50) and their children Dattatreya Sutar (28) and Santhosh Sutar (25).

The four committed suicide by laying their heads on the tracks when a Nizamuddin Express train passed over.

The cause of suicide was not known but it was reported that the cause of their suicide could be repeated harassment by loan sharks.

Belagavi railway police have visited the site and have started a probe.
